easternaffairsZerika is female, primarily straight*, and having become Empress seems to have developed an enjoyment of both setting herself up to be in control and occasionally allowing that to be subverted. She's a seven-foot elf with a thing for humans, but she will call herself a human and label a human "Easterner." Dragearans don't grow body hair, so that's one difference she enjoys observing. If your character is pinged by phoenix themes, she literally has Phoenix DNA in her genetic makeup. When given a choice in her attire, her wardrobe is always in tones of gold. Permissions
□ Hugging: Yes, though she will consider it more polite to press her hand.
□ Kissing/flirting: Yes. Dragearans are wordy, so she would especially appreciate the flirting.
□ Fighting/killing: Maybe, on a case-by-case basis. She doesn't like violence, and generally doesn't ping fight-crazy characters as someone to challenge, but she also doesn't like to back down. She prefers polite shankings if there is to be a fight, and knows her way around a light dueler's blade -- but she doesn't have one on hand, so. Once she's leveled enough that the Orb regains its defensive capabilities, it will be ... extremely difficult to harm her when it is active.
□ Injuring: Getting rough is fine, but let's discuss if we're looking at major injuries.
□ Telepathy/Mind-reading: I'm fine with this, though it's implied she has little patience if someone pings her mentally without having a good reason. (With the Orb, any citizen of her Empire can contact her mind-to-mind, but since that's a lot of people and could get annoying fast, people are apparently now afraid that their Empress will. . . hold a grudge. . . if they don't do it for a sufficiently important reason.)
□ Backtagging/Slow threading: Definitely. I'm EST but I have a flexible work schedule that often has me working evenings, so even just because of availability I appreciate patience with backtagging.
□ Threadjumping: Yes go for it!
□ Fourth-walling: If you want. If you're interested in fourth-walling Zerika, you may be interested in noting that the Khaavren Romances is an homage to the d'Artagnan Romances, if the Three Musketeers were elves in a sword and sorcery setting. Hell, Zerika is the subject of an in-universe historical novel series. It's not out at the point she's taken from, but there's that, there's being the ruler of an Empire that she reforged. . . she's used to being recognized.
□ Sensitive subjects: I can't think of anything at the moment, but if things are uncomfortable I'll let you know; please do the same for me.

A list is compiled here. As a general rule, she will be displeased by things that belong in the bathroom or anything hyperviolent. Note that I've generally tried to compile the list with what she might be interested in; for example, her House has a tendency toward excess that sometimes surfaces, so she might take an interest in things like taking a drink or food off another, etc. Unless it's something on the 'no' list, if there's something you'd like to try, I'll probably work with you to accomodate!
*Zerika has a reputation for hooking up outside her species such that her courtiers gasp when Vlad Taltos asks to walk with her privately, and when she catches Vlad staring at her with an expression speaking of improper thoughts she's just amused. However, she proposes that she hasn't hooked up with her lover because he's human, and if he were Dragaeran, it wouldn't be because he's Dragaeran. When she talks to Piro about inter-House affairs, she says she doesn't care if it's taboo; it doesn't hurt anyone and makes them happy. Thus, I'll play her as gravitating toward certain types, but if a situation comes to her that doesn't fit those specifications, it seems to me that if she thinks it would be enjoyable, she might still give it a shot.
